Saturday, May 30th, 2009

I really like to watch old movies, and last year I was watching one on saw an old greenhouse, and I could see how different it was to my new creed house which is fitted with a really good Suntuf Panels. I think things have improved a lot recently.

Researching Petrol Lawnmowers on the Internet

Tuesday, May 5th, 2009

Last fall our old lawn mower finally died. We had forgotten that we needed to replace it until this spring when we went to mow our lawn! Now, we are trying to decide what to buy and are researching Petrol lawnmowers on the Internet. We have looked at different rotary mowers and cylinder lawn mowers but we are thinking about ride on Petrol lawnmowers. My husband and I are not getting any younger and a ride on might be nice to have. But, before we do buy one, we want to learn a bit more about them and how well they work.

Pride in my Worm Farm

Sunday, December 28th, 2008

In this case opening a can of worms was a good thing.  I had completed the building of my farm after following the Worm Farm Diagram I had downloaded from the Internet.  I had measured my usable household scraps for a couple of weeks so I knew that I needed two pounds of worms.  they did not actually come in a can but in a bag filled with worms and bedding.  It was a thrill and a feeling of accomplishment as I carefully worked them into their new home.  Now all I had to do was to wait until they had finished composting my garbage.

The best things in life

Saturday, October 11th, 2008

As far as I’m concerned the best things in life are always those that are made out of natural materials, because it really does make a difference to your lifestyle. A few months ago I decided to change my garden and is part of it I decided to install some bamboo fencing products. They really have made a difference to my life because I think my garden now looks absolutely wonderful and all my friends could come to see me say that this is absolutely true. I really believe that it is are the best decisions I’ve ever made and I would do it again.

Manually Harvesting Castings And Casings

Thursday, August 7th, 2008

You will need to do this if you are using a homemade worm bin or one that does not allow for easy movement of the worms between bins. If your worm bin is part of any of the purchased worm farms, you will probably be able to do most the sorting in the bin.
The first thing is to allow the worms to work in their new bin for around three months. After this, dump its contents out onto plastic or a piece of paper, under a bright light. Allow the worms to burrow through to the bottom. Then sort through for the castings and casings.
The worms will now be in a pile at the bottom of the soil. You will be able to count and sort your worms. Then divide them and place them into their new bins.

Greenhouse plans and all about them

Tuesday, July 29th, 2008

I never knew that building a greenhouse could be so easy, till my husband brought home a greenhouse plan. It hardly took us a few hours to build the most stunning greenhouse in the neighborhood with the greenhouse plan and kit. It was more like the building games that we would play as kids. All we had to do was assemble the pieces carefully, and lo! The greenhouse was ready! The most amazing part is that now nobody believes that it was not constructed by a professional! The smart tips that we gathered form the
Greenhouse Plans in fact even allow us to advise others on greenhouses building!

A nice style

Monday, July 28th, 2008

One of the things which I really like about my garden is a really nice garden greenhouse that I have erected in the corner of the plot. It was quite an expensive purchase because it is quite a large greenhouse, but I think it looks absolutely wonderful and I would really not change it for anything. A few of my friends have said that they are also looking at fitting something similar because they think it looks so good. I think you cannot get better than the complements of a friend.

A really good idea

Thursday, July 24th, 2008

One of the things that I did last year was to build my own greenhouse in my garden. It took quite a long time but at least I did have a good set of greenhouse plans to enable me to do the job to the best of my ability. Because I built it myself I also managed to do it fairly cheaply and that is a great thing because there is nothing better than saving money. I am now growing some really nice vegetables in my greenhouse and I am very proud of it.

Getting down to business

Thursday, July 17th, 2008

A few months ago I decided that I really needed a better lawnmower for my rather large garden, and so I went out and took a look at what was available in the range of commercial lawnmowers. I was surprised that there was such a huge range of choice, and I was able to find one that would enable me to get the mowing done much faster and yet would not really cost me that much. It just goes to show it is worth while looking around.
