I am not sure why I decided to go with a surfer theme for my child’s bedroom but in all honestly I think that it is really coming together. I have my husband’s old surfboard hanging up and I have a few shells and beach themed trinkets decorating the room nicely. The white blinds that I had in the room were nice but I think that I would like to exchange them for the Matchstick Blinds. It won’t cost very much money to do and it really will add a lot to the surfer motif that I have going in the room.

The choice between the expensive authentic and the inexpensive knock-off isn’t always an easy one. Tropical rooms, are ideal for beach side resorts. A Good tropical room should include the following:

Fans: Depending on the size of the room it should include 2 – 5 wooden fans.

Central air control: 1-2, again depending on the size.

Wooden walls: Must be of tropical wood, eg. Palm, or coconut timber.

Glass wall: one whole side of the room must be of glass/ this may include a door ( also must be of glass ).

Queen size bed: it doesn’t matter if your single, - you should have one any way, note: you should have only one large bed per room, or two small beds per room, the whole point of a tropical feel for a house is space, coolness and relaxation ! The house MUST be spacious.

White or black couches (recommend white for it increases the feel of space), depending on how many people are staying in the house, you should have 1 x double couch, 2 x single chairs, and more single chairs according to house population.

I don’t really know a lot about discount furniture, or any furniture for that matter, since I have never really had the money to buy furniture new before. I think the only way we can afford to get all new furniture is if we get discount furniture. We would especially like to find a nice discount leather sofa, since we have both always wanted one. They are so comfortable and they really look nice.
